Set on a remote island at a spiritual retreat, The Chant is a single-player, third person horror action-adventure game that will stay with you long after you put down the controller. The main protagonist, Jess, arrives at the retreat seeking to come to terms with past trauma. But her quest for inner peace will soon turn into a desperate struggle for survival.

The Chant

Taking inspiration from the psychedelic horror movies of the late 70s, The Chant leaves you to explore an unknown and unsettling landscape awash with negative energy. You will have to craft, fight, and make your escape from the horrors set loose when a spiritual ritual goes wrong.

The Chant tells the story of what happens when you toy with things that aren’t meant to be toyed with. There’s a recurring cast of characters that will help you untangle the complex history of the island, but it’s very much up to you to fight off the evil creatures, reason with the survivors, and set about reversing the ritual.

The Chant

The unique, interactive soundscape coupled with the use of color and negative space creates a deep sense of unease and sets up moments of sheer terror. The haunting electronic rock soundtrack is composed by the award-winning Paul Ruskay, and Siobhan Williams, star of “Sacred Lies” and AMC’s acclaimed series “Hell On Wheels”, leads a talented cast of actors.

Will you be able to elevate your spirit to meditate and access supernatural abilities? Or will you succumb to panic and flee?
